1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the TrustGuardian platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and TrustGuardian Ltd. ("TrustGuardian", "we", "us", or "our"). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

To use TrustGuardian you must be at least 16 years of age. By using the Platform you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

If you are registering a business account, you further represent that you have the authority to bind that business entity to these Terms.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@trustguardian.com if you suspect any unauthorised access.

  • You may not create more than one personal account.
  • You may not use another person's account without their explicit permission.
  • Accounts used for spam, scraping, or any automated abuse will be terminated without notice.

4. Reviews & User Content

TrustGuardian is a platform for sharing genuine consumer experiences. By submitting a review or any other content ("User Content") you grant TrustGuardian a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, and distribute that content on the Platform.

You agree that all User Content you submit is based on your honest, first-hand experience. The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Reviews you were paid or incentivised to write.
  • Reviews written on behalf of a business about a competitor.
  • Content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawfully harassing.
  • Content that includes personal data of third parties without their consent.
  • Spam, duplicate submissions, or content generated by automated systems.

5. Business Listings

Businesses listed on TrustGuardian may claim their profile and respond to reviews. By claiming a profile, the business representative agrees that:

  • All information provided in the business profile is accurate and up to date.
  • Responses to reviews must be professional, truthful, and compliant with our Community Guidelines.
  • Attempting to manipulate, delete, or artificially inflate ratings is grounds for immediate suspension.

6. Intellectual Property

The TrustGuardian name, logo, platform design, and all original content created by us are the exclusive intellectual property of TrustGuardian Ltd. and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission. User Content remains owned by you, subject to the licence granted in Section 4.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We collect and process data only as described in that policy. We will never sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. TrustGuardian does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any User Content published on the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrustGuardian shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
